Help!
No idea what has changed but just tried to create a new project (2 or 3 times) and it is appearing in a foreign language (Czech).
I checked the language setting in the Systems menu and English (UK) is set as my default.
I suspect someone must have changed something but I have no idea what that could be (or how they would get access to it). Can you advise what I need to change to get back to normal again?
Thanks :-)
Just to confirm Atlassian support has fixed this on our instance now.
Cheers
@Simon Teppett I've managed to sort it for us.
Very simple solution which I dismissed at first cos it was too simple!
Got to Jira menu > System > General Config > Edit Settings > Internationalisation section
Change the Default language to another language then save the setting
After the change is saved, change the default language back to your preferred language and save.
Now create a new Service Desk project and it should now be in the language you expect.
Hope this solves it for you

Thanks Andy. Over the weekend I got a note from Atlassian support to say this was a product bug - and that it should now be fixed. Fingers crossed.

You're welcome @Simon Teppett
If it's not fixed follow the steps above and it should sort it.
Someone must have accidentally done an update these/all customers default language! haha

Yes, we have just noticed the same problem with a New Service Desk Project, not tried creating a new Software project yet though.
Our instance is also defaulting to Czech... have no idea why... we have a well guarded core team of admins who would have no need to change the language to Czech!
This is bizarre! Help would be gratefully appreciated

Note: This only seems to be happening for Jira Service Desk projects. I tried creating Software projects and they appear to be in English (as expected)
