×How do I setup the Asset Custom Filter Configuration? Can I only use this Asset Field if I purchase a Asset Management Add-On?
I created my own Asset Management project using Jira Service Desk. I want to know if there is a way to automatically look up and link issues to specific request types in another project.
It depends on how you want to set up the asset management to work. In your case you might only need a dynamic issue picker, i.e. a custom field that you can configure based on other values or in a way that it lets users only select and link a certain set of issues.
Unfortunately, there is no final asset management solution ready for Jira Cloud and no asset picker add-on available, yet.
Some custom scripting might help as well, but as I said it depends on your actual use case.
Best regards,
Daniel

A dynamic issue picker would let you only select certain issues based on another field or conditions.
Normally you can link any issues with each other. An issue picker lets you only choose a pre-defined set of issues that you can select.
Then you would also need some scripting afterward to actually link an asset based on the request type after the ticket creation.

That field type requires to count with an asset management addon.
Note that Insight for Jira Cloud is free for the moment, although it is also in beta phase.
Automatic issue linking would require custom scripting, ie through the help of ScriptRunner.
