Custom field does not appear automation

Hi,

In my project issues are generated by users who complete a form that has several custom fields with a single choice from a list. Let's suppose we have Country and State as custom fields.

I want to create an automation that if an issue is created, Country equals "USA" and State equals "California" then it will be assigned to Paul. However, when I try to automate using Issue fields condition, none of my custom fields appear in the dropdown. They both have configured applicable contexts for scheme, issue types and projects.

Not sure why these are not appearing when I type the custom field's name in the automation. How can I solve this?

You could use the JQL condition to check if the custom fields are set to a specific value instead of using the field value condition. I haven't seen this issue with custom fields, but I have seen it with new request types not listed and used the JQL one to work around it.

Can you share the JQL that you used? I am having the same issue.
