We've enabled the Board feature in our JSM cloud and for the most part it meets our needs, but one thing we've noticed is that issues with a Done status don't appear unless they're Done within the last 24 hours. Instead, any column that includes one or more Done status issues has a "See older issues" link for anything older than one day. Is this configurable? Ideally, we'd like to see Done status issues for the past week instead of the past day, but there doesn't seem to be any way to change that behavior as an admin.
the "Default" board in Service projects doesn't offer more config than adjusting the columns. The only thing that you could do is create a Kanban Board containing the projects issues. However, the "home location" of that Board can only be a Company managed software project or a user. Therefore, the Board wouldn't show up in the Project view.
Thanks @Rebekka Heilmann _viadee_ . We only use Jira Service Management and not Jira Software, so I don't think that's an option for us. Do you happen to know if more control over the JSM boards is on the roadmap for Atlassian?

Not heard anything regarding that. To be honest, Boards in JSM Projects probably haven't been introduced earlier, as the main view are the Queues where you can filter/sort into statuses as well.
You were looking into seeing older issues as well. Is that for statistical purposes or just a sense of achievement? ;)
A dashboard showing different Gadgets might be suitable for either purpose.

More sense of achievement I suppose - we do weekly report outs on our most impactful work during the week, so seeing those in the board would be great for keeping track of that. The "See Older Work" link is fine for a workaround, just slightly less convenient. Thanks for the dashboard suggestion, I'll take a look at that too!

In that case, Dashboards is the way to go. You can integrate all sorts of Reports that are based on project and/or filter results and just share the Dashboard with other users.

To my knowledge that using board to manage issues in a JSM project is a feature at this time, which it can be enabled on each individual project. However, it is still a feature being tested out and not an out of box default. See - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-8389
By default, using board (Kanban/Scrum) to manage issues is a functionality primaryly for Jira Software application projects and not for JSM projects. In JSM projects, one should manage issues via the Queue concept at this time.
For the board usage within JSM projects, all DONE issues are automatically removed out from the board after 14 days. Once the issues have been removed from the board, you can click on the "see older issues" button in the DONE column to access them.

Thanks @Joseph Chung Yin . In our experience, Done issues disappear from the board in 1 day rather than 14. If it was 14 days, that would be terrific, but that's not what we're seeing in our JSM project.

Hi Charles:
You may want to reach out to Atlassian Support (https://support.atlassian.com) for further assistance as the "Board" feature was just recently pushed out to all JSM projects by the vendor (Nov 2023) as a default feature for new project creation.
Best, Joseph
