When I get an email notification from our system (that a new ticket was created via an email request) here is what it looks like... Please help
An error was encountered whilst handling messages from the mail server "O365" using the handler "class com.atlassian.jira.plugins.mail.handlers.CreateOrCommentHandler".
The error was:

"Reporter (712020:188797c6-c567-49b4-9588-035d957af1c4) does not have permission to create an issue. Message rejected."
------------------------
The error and the email that caused the error are attached to this email.

The error seems to be related to project permissions. could you please check if the account id - 712020:188797c6-c567-49b4-9588-035d957af1c4, has the create issue permission.
To valid the project permission, please navigate to project settings ->permissions as shown below -

Can you please share a clear screen shot so I can see the permissions. I've fiddled with it for a while now and still can't get any form of alerts going

Mind you, I couldn't get a new project to work at all the way I wanted so i renamed the original DEMO project and updated the email settings.
I would love to pay someone for help configuring this free version and see if it will work for our Company if anyone out there is interested?
