Hi,
I manage multiple projects hence I am supposed to create external (Service desk projects) and internal projects which needs to be linked to each other.. I created an automation rule to auto trigger the comments from service desk project to the linked project (internal project) but it's not working. Attached is the snapshot for your reference that shows the details of rules. Please review and confirm the detailed steps on auto trigger of comments from external to internal project..
I have already linked the Issue type triggers and it's working but auto trigger comment is not successful.
Please help.
Regards,
Lakshmi
Hi @Lakshmi Kumari ,
I recreated the same automation as you suggested above it is working for me for reference i have attached the screenshot, I think you are adding internal comment because when i tried adding the internal comment i got the same message in the audit log.
The same rule is working for me
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
And try unticking the checkbox in the action "comment" That might be the problem!.

Hi,
I tried deleting the 2nd condition that was updated in "IF Condition" rule section and checked the "prevent duplicates" option, it's working now... JIRA has come up with lot of updates which has affected the conditions now and back then when i created old projects...
Thanks a lot of helping me out -)

Hi @Lakshmi Kumari ,
Try creating the rule in global automation,The rule is working for me instead of the "triggerissue.comment" use this "{{triggerIssue.comment.last.body}}", This will copy the last comment from the issue instead of copying all the comments everytime the automation runs.
If you are facing the issue upload the screen shot of the audit log that will be helpful to see the rootcause.
Thanks

Thanks

I think the problem is in the "If" block in particular "comment.internal" try removing it and check the rule will work fine!
Are you trying to add Internal comments to the Software project?

Hi,
I have attached the snapshot of "If Block"...
IH is the main project (service desk for customers) and CRM is internal project meant for our staff/Dev team.. Whatever comments are updated in "Internal note" comment section in "IH" Project (main project) needs to be automatically reflecting in CRM project too (Dev team - internal staff).. Issue type, summary description and attachment is getting triggered automatically from IH to CRM project but not comments..
Let me know if you want me to elaborate more.
