Hi everybody
There are demo-customers in my project that I somehow can not remove. Even when creating a new project, I can not get rid of them. The customer I created, I can delete.
Example-customer: Alana Hansen(hansen@atlassian-demo.invalid)
Would be great if you could help me!
Hello Angélica,
thanks but somehow I did not find a button what you had and the link is not working.
I just found the solution: go to https://admin.atlassian.com/ --> Products --> left sidebar under Sites and products click on your site --> when the page loaded again on the left sidebar under the Jira SM click Portal customers. And here I could delete them. I do not know how they struck but it might help @Alessandro Trinca {Arnould}
Kind regards,
Gabor
Gábor's solution worked for me. Angelica's repeated "gear icon" instructions did not. JSM configuration screens and menus are an ungodly tangled mess.

Hello @AdaptIT,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
The demo customers are accounts created with the Demo project for testing purposes and the project can be deleted after testing.
Customer accounts must be deleted directly in the User management menu.
Please, go to the Cog icon > User management > Jira Service Management and delete the account.
Please, take your time to test and let us know how it goes.
Kind regards,
Angélica

Hi Angélica
Thanks for your feedback. I tried creating a new project but unfortunately the Demo-customers are there as well. The deletion of self-created customers is working.
Kind regards,
Michael

Hi Michael,
Thank you for the details.
Have you deleted the Demo Project and then deleted the Demo Customer from the User management > Jira Service Management?
Kind regards,
Angélica

Hi Angélica,
I deleted the Demo Project and now it seems I have no option to delete the demo users. Would you please advice how can I delete these users?
Thank you in advance!
Best regards,
Gabor

Hello @Gábor Kollár and @Alessandro Trinca {Arnould},
Thank you for reaching out to the Community!
In order to delete customer accounts, it’s necessary to be a site administrator.
If you have this permission, you need to go to Cog icon > User management.
Click on Jira Service Management on the left side and then search for the customer you need to delete and delete the account.
If you are a site administrator and can’t find the list of customers, it might be due to the new organization view. With this said, replace the org id on the URL below to access the customer list:
https://admin.atlassian.com/s/<OrgId>/jira-service-desk/portal-only-customers

Angélica

I've been looking for this for hours, thank you for the solution!

I'm an org admin, but when trying to follow the above instructions, I'm getting:
I am, of course, replacing <orgid> with our org name.
Keen to get rid of these demo accounts as we're looking to implement ITSM and these are appear in user dropdowns. Alana is not the only demo user present.
Specifically we have:
Alana.hansen@atlassian-demo.id
Automation-bot@atlassian-demo.id
Example@atlassian-demo.id
song@atlassian-demo.id
ricci@atlassian-demo.id
darboe@atlassian-demo.id
We also have an internal account listed, which isn't an active, suspended or deactivated account in the DIrectory...
Please advise.
