Insight Cloud - Multi-valued attribute for object link

Shaun McGuire

This is for Insight Cloud only:

I know how to create an attribute in an objectType that allows me to link the objectType to a single object of another reference ObjectType. For example, I have a "child" objectType of "Process" with an attribute of "Capability" as a reference field.  I add a new object of "Process" and I can then select from the dropdown list of values for Capabilities.

However, I have situations where I need multiple values for these reference attributes. In the above example, I might have more than one "Capability" that I want to link to the single "Process" object.

Can this be done? If not, is there some kind of work around?

Hi @Shaun McGuire

I'm assuming you are following this setup: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Management-articles/JSM-Linking-Insight-Custom-Fields/ba-p/2054341

Have you tried leaving the child insight object as multiple select so multiple process can be selected from the reference capability?

My question is focused ONLY on Insight and creating objects within that app.

I do know how to setup a custom field with multiple selections, but that's on a Jira ticket.
