Reposting this as I have the same question
I have several jobs that would greatly benefit from the ability to schedule comments in advance.
Our two primary other communication tool (Slack, Gmail) both have the ability to schedule comments for some time, however, I didn't find any way to do this in Jira Work Management.
Is it possible? If not, is it part of your roadmap?
You can set this up by using scheduling in Jira Automation. Here is a rough example of what it would look like:
You can modify the trigger to schedule whenever you need to send the notification and even add JQL to the schedule for even more customization, but yes, automation would be the way to go. For more information on Jira Automation, you can take a look at the following link:
Hope this helps!
thanks Pablo! How about the second bullet point. What if i had a comment that i wanted to schedule to send the next day as a certain time. This isn't a recurring message but a message to send during normal working hours?
