I am trying to set up JSM as a ESM solution in a commercial real estate management setting.
My design involves having 1 JSM project per property managed.
I've just read that there may be a hard limit of 100 projects per instance. If this is the case then I think that I need to rethink my design. I'm pretty confident that this limit would be reached at some point.
Can anybody clarify whether I will be limited to 100 projects?
Thanks in advance.
Hi @Edward Dixon and welcome to the Atlassian Community!
There is no hard limit in JSM Cloud on the number of projects. However, performance can be impacted as the number of projects grows, particularly with complex configurations like custom fields and workflows. The more projects you have in your instance the more complex to maintain it can be, so I think this is what you should take into consideration :)
Thank you Clara. I did read the below suggested post before posting here, but I didn't know if it applied to JWM.
In any case I have decided to pivot on my design and just go with the flow of how the software tries to be setup. I realise that JWM is very flexible but I did have nagging doubts about managing several hundred different projects. It was keeping me up at night thinking about how to make bulk changes to all projects at once.
I think that if I had stuck with my original plan that I would later live to regret it.
Thanks for your help.

I'm glad you found a way to make it work (and hope it won't keep you up at night anymore!) :)
