Re-order Starred queues in a project in the new Navigation UI?

Fairly simple, is it possible to re-order your Starred queues in the new Navigation UI. I can't seem to drag and drop, and there isn't an option within Queue settings.

Hi there @Jared Grywacheski - great question!

We have both the new and old UI across our sandbox and production sites. In both, I cannot reorder the starred queues, without un-starring them and re-starring them in the order I want.

I combed through the open JAC suggestions for JSM regarding reordering starred queues and it looks like there is no existing suggestion for that. I worked with support to confirm this and we created a suggestion for this, as it's really quite a great idea!!

Thanks for the info Harrison! Will share the link with colleagues, with the amount of customization included with Atlassian products I thought for sure I was just missing a setting somewhere.

@Harrison Ponce On a bit of a side note, we just received the new navigation UI today, do you have any idea how it was rolled out? It kind of caught us off guard and we didn't get a chance to communicate to our userbase the changes before it happened.

Great question! They notified folks in November of the new UI and its Beta launch that you could opt into. Since then, it's been hard to follow the pieces of communication. They've come in Community posts, emails, etc. The timeline was also unclear.

I got an email (screenshot below) on Feb 3, 2025 that the new navigation was going to begin releasing March 2025. So I imagine some admin in your site opted into the experience early or Atlassian started earlier than anticipated.

This post in the New Navigation community group talks about sites receiving it anyways if they were free, sandbox sites, or new users not on the old nav.

Hope this helps and gives you some resources. This was one of the more well planned and communicated large changes they made, but still not surprised that some folks were caught off-guard. It's hard to keep up with all the changes!
