Why does jira automation rule fail to close a ticket when the monitor is UP

Hi ,

We are using jira tool since few months and we very frequently get this error, where the automation rule fails i which we have mentioned the condition as when the monitor status is "UP" the ticket should be in "Completed" state that s auto resolve.

So what should we do or change to resolve this issue and make the rule work.

Welcome to the community.  Can you provide more details on your automation rule + Is "COMPLETED" state a final status of your issue's WF and resolution field is set when issue is moved to this state?

Hi Joseph,

Upon checking the respected automation rule in JIRA. Yes you were correct, "COMPLETED" state in this rule indicates final status of the issue as resolved. When the former part executes properly, we have set transition phase to change resolution field to "Done". In Audit logs, we could see correct response from the automation rule and working as expected. We will check more scenarios in future and update if this issue repeats again.
