Hello, did you ever find a solution for this? I am also trying to make the Request Type field read-only and haven't found a solution yet.

I asked atlassian support for some help and they created bug ticket. https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-16176 Not sure if this is not a feature...
