A while back I wanted to configure SSO for our organization, but I found out Atlassian charged $3 per user for SSO, which was too much for my taste. I am now revisiting SSO configuration options, and I'm not seeing anywhere pricing point. Did Atlassian stop charing for SSO? I see a subscription to Atlassian Access would allow me to manage groups through my IdP, but I honestly want to be able to just do SSO. Is that free of charge?
Thank you,
Ned
Hi Ned - Atlassian Access is unfortunately not free and it is required if you are going to configure SAML SSO. However I don't think you would need it for your basic SSO configuration in Google Workspace. You can learn more about it here. For context and comparison, refer to this link.
Additionally, you can also find out more about configuring SAML with various idPs here.
We recently started subbing Atlassian Access as we have Azure AD. I tested the free trial version and it helped me decide. You could do the same. Please reach out to Atlassian support if you need more information and assistance on Atlassian Access.
Best,
John
