Trigger for attachment added not working in JSM

Using the trigger "Field value changed" with "Attachment" doesn't trigger automation rule as expected
This is likely due to JSM only allowing file attachments to be added in a comment. Drag/drop a file into the issue will simply attach it to a comment and won't attach it to the issue until the comment is added
I've checked the audit logs and it just shows config change even after I've added 3 attachments
How do I get a trigger for attachment added to issue for JSM?

I think not the most optimum approach but I have added a custom field that takes in attachment content and is scheduled to run every 15 mins. If the current value of custom field equals the attachment content, it doesnt update. Else it does and passes attachment links as comments.
