field dependencies in portal sheet

Hi all,

I am creating an onboarding formular and I'm wondering, whether its possible to create field dependencies within a Protal sheet.

Like:

Drop down: Job description

If you pick: Project leader

the Hardware fields (checkboxes) will be automatically ticked.

and so on..

is that possible?

Hi @Susann Petzold,

If you want to create dependent fields, the only option is using our app Extension for Jira Service Management which provides a feature called Dynamic Forms. Thanks to this plugin, you can define which fields appear after the selection in the previous field. You can also define some conditions and validators for every field.

You can probably use ScriptRunner but I'm not familiar with this app, so I can't help :(

Hi @Susann Petzold

I'm afraid that is not possible in Cloud.

I made similar solutions with Script runner's behaviours. Unfortunately it works only on servers/dc.

Okay.. guess that would be too much for me for now.

Other Option:

we have a fiel called "Hardware", with some checkboxes within our sheet.

Can I may create:

If:

Ticked hardware in Portal and shown in the Ticket:
laptop, 2 monitors, dockingstation etc (thats what already happens)

then
create Subtask:

with desciption of the ticked hardware option:

Description:

Laptop
2 Monitors
dockingstation

How can I tranfer the ticket checkbox names in the subtask desription?

I am sorry for so many questions.. I am new to this kind of configurations and dont have any scripting or development knowledge..

If you want to add some actions "then", you have to use Automation. I recommend reading this guide from Atlassian: https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/guides/expand-jira/automation
