SSO Service Desk, using SAP Cloud Platform Identity Authentication service

Fernando Sequeira August 14, 2018

Currently we have an application published in SCP, our customer's users have a SCP user

Is it possible to configure the SAML, so our customers could use their SCP user to logon on Jira?

Thank you

Well, it's not one of the supported Identity Provider. So I can't guarantee that it would work. But you can give it a try. I would suggest you to try on a test account first because in order for you to set up saml, you would need to verify a domain and that would affect all Atlassian Account with the verified domain. So if you have a test domain for a test account, you can give this a try so that in case anything goes wrong, your users wouldn't get locked out. That being said, the steps for unsupported IdP are:

  1. Add the Atlassian product to your identity provider
  2. Copy details from your identity provider to your Atlassian organization
  3. Copy details from your Atlassian organization to your identity provider
  4. Test SAML single sign-on for your Atlassian organization

In case you're interested to know which IdP are we supporting:

Azure

See:

We don't officially support ADFS, so we recommend using Azure Active Directory instead.
