I've been working on building automated imports into insight and I've been using External Imports to do that but I just noticed today that External Imports is no longer an option in Insight! I didn't see anything from Atlassian about an update or change that takes away this option when I searched for some information online.
Does anyone else not have the option to do External Imports? Does anyone know what happened to External Imports?
Thank you,
Jacob
Hi Jacob:
I am not aware that we ever had the "External Imports" options from the UI. Maybe this will help you - https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/insight/imports/workflow/
NOTE - However the on-line documentation (https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/create-an-import-configuration/) did mention "External Imports" as an option.
I would recommend that you file a formal support request with Atlassian support for assistance. I am interested in their response if you can share it with the community once obtained.

Joseph Chung Yin:
Thank you for your response. The first step in the AtlassianDeveloper overview of external imports that you shared is to obtain an OAuth token, which requires creating an external import in Insight. My problem and question is that I no longer have the option to create an external import in Insight, and so cannot obtain an OAuth token. I'll provide another screenshot to show what I am saying.
When I did have the external import option:
Now, I don't have the external import option:
I am trying to find out if this is a general change that has happened, or if this is specific to my JSM.
Thank you,
Jacob

In our JSM env, we also don't see the External Import option in the UI. Right now, I would recommend you to submit your ask to Atlassian Support.
Again, please let us know what support has to say about this issue.
Sorry.
Best, Joseph
