Hi everyone,
I am a bit lost on how to add an approval step on my JSM workflow.
I already checked the box to include approval step on a specific status.
When I try to add an approval source, I am unable to find a group that I created as an Admin.
Right now most of the approvals are going to "Approver Groups" . I still havent figured out where to edit and how to make a "CUSTOM GROUP" with limited amount of users, to approve any change request in production.
Thanks in advance
Hi @Joao Borges
It seems like you have already accomplished adding an approval step in your workflow by checking the box next to Include approval step.
By default, as you know your service project comes with an Approvers field for adding individual approvers, and an Approver groups field for adding groups of approvers.
To add a new custom field for approvals:
After you’ve done all of that, go back into your service project workflow to your desired approval step.
In the event you want to define approvers for a request type — check out this article.
Hope it helps!
Yes, I was able to add the custom field now on the approval process. Now in order to have the users assigned to this field, are these the steps I need to take ?
I need to create a group first on JIRA ADMIN, add users to this group and make sure the group has access to JSM. Then i will need to edit the custom field and set FIELD DEFAULT to the group I just created ?
Thanks.

When you go into the Custom Field you have setup (either approver groups or approvers) you can select 'edit default value' and then add the users or group.
