Is there a way I can export all the jira service desk tickets such that it is more portable and app agnostic for archive?
For instance, I see each ticket has the ability to export to say Word for example. Can I do that for all tickets , en masse ? Can I export by only certain Assigned user to the ticket , if not, just all tickets are fine, just in a readable form (sans Jira) that can be later indexed and searched through some conventional method, such as built-in natively to an OS.
What method is best for this and for preserving the association of attachments or pics to the ticket?
Better PDF Exporter has this use case covered. I collected a few methods of archiving Jira issues, a few of which works on Jira Cloud as well.
For example, you can, by all means, export your Jira or Jira Service Management tickets into PDF with all their attachments, history, etc, and import them into a Document Management System for long-term storage. You can collect the issues you want to export in the Issue Navigator and export from there. Check out this video for a better idea.
A good summary article, thanks Levente for taking time to answer. Agreed, the marketplace tool seems to fit, will have a look-see.

Seem like MS-WORD does not carry the pics but PDF exports do, now just how to bulk export ? Bueller?
