Hello! Looking for some help with an automation I am creating. I have a rule to create Task A on the 1st Wed of every month at 9:30am. I can Create the Summary, Description, Due, Date, and Assignee but am unable to add the Epic it relates to (I have the Epic created already and it is named Project XYZ.
I have tried using Parent, Parent Feature Name, Epic Link, and Epic Name but keep getting errors. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Hi @Sheri Maxim
You should be able to paste the Epic key in the Parent field and it will work.
Regards
Thank you!!!! It looked like a drop down and didn't realize I could paste it in. Thank you so much (and for the quick reply)!

Hey @Sheri Maxim
Thank you for reaching out to the community forum.
I don't see the parent field listed in your "create issue" action in the automation rule screenshot you shared.
I tested this requirement on my instance, and I was able to create a new issue with the Epic as parent specified in the rule. Sharing a screenshot for your reference:

Thank you Mayura! I removed the Parent field initially because it looked like it was only a drop down option without the actual epics in it. Your visual and Florrian's advice to copy/paste the key in worked well. Thank you!
