Auto Populate custom field values

Hi All,

1) Is there an option into Jira ( or ) a way to inject code to auto fill up few fields from parent EPIC when we create a story or from parent story when we create a subtask ?

For example, into TEST project, we want to get back "component/s" of parent story when we create a subtask  under.

Hi Roja,

You can do that with an add-on like Automation for Jira or ScriptRunner. It would update the card after it gets created but you wouldn't necessarily see it real time when creating the child. ScriptRunner Behaviours might be able to do that second part, but I don't use server version so not sure.
