Hi,
We have JIRA tickets being created from the emails in a shared inbox. Once the ticket is created in JIRA, we don't receive any email in the inbox normally. However, from Friday (8/3), we are receiving emails (screen shot attached) on any action on the ticket. Even if we mark the ticket from To DO to In Progress, it sends an email to shared mailbox. We want to stop these extra emails ASAP. Please advise.
Thanks
Madiha Ghous
Hi @Madiha Ghous and welcome to the Community1
Assuming these tickets are created in a Jira Software project, company managed, check the notification scheme attached to the project these issues are being created in:
Project settings > notifications
If you see the reporter of the ticket associated with all events listed in the scheme, that's where they are being triggered from.
If this didn't happen before, it's obvious that something has changed. This may be in your Jira configuration, but just as well something that has been whitelisted on the mail server,...
Anyway, to restrict the number of email settings, adjust your project's notifications.
On a side note, there are additional ways Jira can send mails, but from your description this seems the most likely starting point for you to start looking. If your project is not a company managed software project, share more details about your configuration.
Hope this helps!

Hey, apart from the emails, I should have mentioned earlier that we are receiving these notifications in JIRA on any action at any ticket. We have not made any changes from our end.
Also, have noticed this new option appearing just now
Was there any update from JIRA that has auto changed notifications etc
