Autocomplete Renderer Permission

We have an autocomplete renderer dropdown but only admins can add new values on-the-fly, how can I give users the ability to add new values from within the form itself?

If you are asking about giving a user permission the modify the values of a drop down custom field the user must have admin permissions. The exception is the Labels field where any user can add a new value but, AFAIK, there is no similar custom field available. What custom field type do you have here?

So you're using the user must have admin permission? how weird.
