Automatically Block EPIC child issues status change if EPIC Owner field is not set

Hi Community

Looking to see if it is possible to use native Jira automation to Automatically block EPIC Child Issues status change to "In Progress" if the parent (EPIC) Owner field is not set.

Parent = Epic (with no owner set)

Child Issue = StoryTask/Bug

Automations run after something happens, in this case the transition, so it would not block it. You could let the transition happen and then have an automation that checks if the owner field in the epic is set, and if not then transition the child issue back. This could also be blocked by a condition in the workflow, but it would require an app in order to do that, out-of-the-box conditions cannot do this.
