Hello,

Is there an automatic timer app that can operate in certain situations while taking into account weekends and vacations (meaning that at times when it is foreseen that they are not working, the timer will be automatically stopped)?

Regards,

Eitan.

Hi Eitan,

there is similar functionality to what you're describing in Jira Service Desk.

You can configure working hours and then set SLAs (Service Level Agreements).

Here is an article describing this in more detail: https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicedeskcloud/setting-up-slas-732528967.html

Hi Martyn,

There is no option of SLA in my Jira cloud system, at least that's what I know.

Hi Eitan,

yes you would need to create a Jira Service Desk project for this.

Hi Martyn,

What do you mean by creating a Jira Service Desk project for this?

Can I do this if my hosting is in Cloud?

Yes you can do this in Cloud.

Can you paste a screenshot of what you see when you click on the Create Project button?

I think you might need to add Jira Service Desk to your instance.

You can try it free for 7 days - https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/service-desk/pricing

Hi Martyn,

The first link in your first message is broken.

Do you have another link that describes the purpose of this SLA and how it connected to the time issue?

Thanks,

Eitan.

And how it is connected to my question that I search an app that automat count the time that the developers spent on their tasks?

I'm not sure why that link doesn't work.

If I copy and paste it into a browser tab it works, but clicking the link adds a bunch of extra parameters that seems to mess with the page loading.

You can set 'working hours' so that when an SLA is calculated it ignores time when the team is not working eg. weekends, night times, lunch breaks, etc.
