Automation Rule - Add Watchers from a Confluence Automation Rule

Sherry Nightingale

Hi

I have created an automation rule in Confluence that states when the status is changed create a task in a Jira project and auto populate some fields

One of the requirements is to add watchers to these tasks but this can only be achieved by creating an automation rule in Jira

I can easily 'add watchers' in a Jira automation rule but how can I make this rule trigger when a task is created from the Confluence automation rule?

Hi Sherry,

In Confluence automation, you should see an action called "Manage watchers" that should allow you to do this.
