Automation for Jira (A4J) rules run twice

Hello dear community, 

We recently noticed a weird behaviour in Automation for Jira, where all our Automation rules are now running twice.

We can't seem to spot the issue, particularly because this behaviour only appears only in our Production and not in our Sandbox environment.

I'm choosing this extremely basic automation as an example:

Needless to say, all the Automations that contain a Transition are now sending us an error message (as seen in the screenshot above), as they work the first time and fail the second time. 

More background info: on 05th Dec our Jira Software Maintenance expired, we're not sure if this is connected. We're using the Trial version of Automation for Jira at the moment (v 7.4.0). 

Any ideas what could cause this?

Re-uploading the app in Manage Apps seems to have solved the issue.
