Good afternoon,
When I stretch out the parent, the child must be stretched proportionnally. Ex: epic = 9 months and its three childs = 3 months, if I stretch the epic from 9 months to 12 months, then the childs must be done in 4 months each.
Is it possible?
Thanks a lot
Do you have scriptrunner?
I can see this possibly working through a scripted solution, triggered by a custom event.
1. Editing specific estimate field on Epic issue types triggers custom event
2. Event script evals Epic issue that triggered event for number of children
3. Event script divides updated estimate field value in Epic that triggered the event by value found in step2.
4. Event script updates corresponding field for all issues found in step2 with value from step3.
Hello, I am Bastien's colleague.
The problem is this should be triggered from the BigPicture scenario to which the epic and its children are linked to.
Since Big Picture is not providing a public REST API, we do not know how it would be possible to affect the scenarios in the tool if the epics are changed. If the time extension is automatically taken into account when the epic is modified and the scenario is changed accordingly, that's fine, but if the scenario keeps its values despite of the changes in the linked epics and children, that would induce inconsistencies in the tool.
Do you know if the scenario in BP will be automatically updated by a change in the linked issues?
