We have multiple User-Stories in multiple projects that belong to the same Functionality.
Example:
Functionality A = ProjectA-22, ProjectB-33, ProjectC-87,...
Whats the easiest and most comfortable way to set this up in JIRA/Confluence?
We want to bundle them in JIRA and link this bundle to Confluence. Epics & Releases are already used for something else, Components wont work because they cant be global, labels are too easy to make mistakes with.
What other possibilites do exist? We have many projects, functionalities, teams and user stories so the method needs to be simple to work with but also fast.
Any ideas?
Hi @Markus,
Since you are using releases and epics for other things and you don;t want to use labels (I agree, btw; you'll get odd and misspelled labels,) the only option left is less easy/comfortable. You will need to use a custom field for your functionality bundle. You can create it as a drop-down select list if you have a set list of functionalities so you can maintain control over what items are selected. Create the field for each project and the related views and you should be all set.
Hope this helps,
-Scott
