Better browser security?

David Thomson

The app has the 2 minute idle option, where after 2 min idle it asks for verification to open the app, but the browser version does not. So Jira is logged in at all times.

So if my laptop gets accessed, Jira can be easily accessed.

The only option I see to avoid this is to manually log out all the time.

Any other options?

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

This is up to the browser when it comes to Cloud.  Cloud suggests a time-out to your browser, but it is a maximum, and your browser can be configured to ignore it and go lower.

I do not know what the current setting is (but it does feel like it is at least a couple of hours)

The other options to "log out" that I can think of are based on using more secure browsers, or triggering their security functions.  My usual browser deletes all cookies and history when I close it, so "close browser, reopen" leads to "you need to log in again", as does the "clear all cookies for sites not open in a tab"

I appreciate that, thank you.  I'll check it out
