Can I link two Cloud instances of JIRA OnDemand

So I have a team in China, they complain that JIRA is too slow for them over there,

Can I have them purchase their own instance of JIRA, then somehow link Projects from My JIRA to theirs, so they can see everything we see vise versa?

With standalone JIRA you can set them up in a configuration called a federated JIRA instance (more info here)
