Can Kanban card fields be configured in Next Gen Project

I am  in a Next Gen Project. I have created a custom field called Component. I want that field to appear in Kanban card. Can any one tell me now that can be done. I am an administrator

Currently, the next-gen project does not support custom card layouts, please vote for the following ticket.
