Can a Jira Work Management Project and Jira Service Management projects be linked?

Also can the custom fields created in Work management be used for Service management projects ?

Sure, if both projects are company-managed, you can use the same custom fields. 

It depends on what you mean about the projects being linked. You can have a configuration of JSM where you create tasks in different types of projects, for example, where you need to ask for input from another team.

Thanks so much Valerie Knapp. Yes, exactly. Based on inputs from a Project, issues on another Project be created and Processed. Like Project A in Work Management has a Issue that needs immediate action. This can be linked to Project B in JSM and an issue was created (can be automation) or just link it as a child issue and be addressed.
