Can't re-invite a user to my project

Hello, I just started using Jira, I am the admin, and I was trying to assign an issue to a user; however, when verifying their status, they appeared as inactive although they had already accepted the invitation and accessed their account.

Reading through the community discussions, I found an option consisting on removing them and adding back again into the group. I clicked on "suspend access", the user disappeared from the list, but, apparently, the invitation has not expired yet.

Please, I need help deleting the invitation, adding back the user into the group/project and finally assigning an issue to them.
