Can the resolve screen change based on the issue you are resolving?

twb January 18, 2024

Hi,

I have a custom resolve screen that fits all my requirements for most of my cases. However, I would like to have a very simple resolution screen that should be used when a sub-task is resolved. But as I see it, it is only possible to have one resolve screen, and not one that depends on the issue type. Am I missing something?

Hi Twb,

You would need to have a different workflow for the Sub-task issue type. It can be an exact copy of your existing one if you like, but if you create a separate workflow for Sub-tasks, then you can use a different transition screen.

Hi,

It is not possible to have a different resolve screen for the same workflow (if you are using the same workflow for all issue types). However, if you take a copy of the workflow and associate it with the required issue type, you can add a transition screen to the transition. I hope this meets your requirements.
