Hello Team,
As of what I know was default assignee can be set with Project Lead in user and roles at Project Level.
Can we differentiate the default assignee depends on the Selected Issue type.
I Found one script on Adaptavist websie: https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/5.3.0/jira/recipes/behaviours/setting-default-fields.html
But It is not working as expected.
if it possible through behavior , Could you please provide the script as well. I
Thanks in Advance,
Venkatesh
The post function solution works ‘per-workflow’ so if you have different workflows per-Issuetype then that is an option. However, having multiple workflows can be a bit of a maintenance challenge.
Another option would be to use automation leave all issues unassigned initially and then use automation to set the assignee based on the issue type that was created.
trigger - issue created
condition - if/else block inspecting issue type
action - edit issues and set assignee.
IMO, Automation would be the better option.

I achieved it with the help of https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Core-Server-questions/Default-Assignee/qaq-p/10551
Thanks a lot.
