Can we modify Kanban board to just show the type of issues

That would make the board completely useless.  A board is supposed to help users work with a set of issues and show them where they are in the workflow/process.  If it shows just issue type, it tells us noting of any use.

I suspect you are asking for something other than what you have said - could you explain what you are trying to do in full, instead of asking a fraction of a question?
