Can you customise the "widgets" in the Summary page

We setup a new Work Management project and like the look of the summary page it ships with
https://<orgName>.atlassian.net/jira/core/projects/<projectKey>/summary

However one of the widgets is not useful for us, but we would like to add our own, is this possible?

No, that Summary page for JWM projects is not configurable for adding / removing widgets.  Looking in the public backlog I did not find any suggestions related to this idea.

You may want to scroll to the bottom of that page as it offers a link to provide feedback to Atlassian, and you could add more details for your suggestion there.
