Changing default Priority value in Jira Data Center

Jira Data Center 9.0.0:  I am trying to change the default value for Priority which currently defaults to 3- Medium.

I am looking at the "Edit priority scheme" window of my priority scheme which is noted as USED BY 2 PROJECTS, the two I have thus far.  I changed the Default priority to None and click the Update button.  I go to create an issue in those two projects but they still default to a priority of 3 - Medium.

I re-indexed but still they do not default to None.

I logged out and back in but still they do not default to None.

Is there something else to set or associate?  Just wondering what I am missing.

Hi @Boyd K

Actually it's not woring, it take the middle priority, if you have 5, it will take the 3rd.

Yeah! that's true. It takes the middle value as default.
