Hello Atlassian Community,
Would just like to ask if it's possible, and how to add, a "child issue" for a Story issue type?
The option below in blue does not appear when clicking the "+ Add" for the Story issue type. (It does appear for Epics)
We would like to create a Child Issue under Story issue type. We've checked the Issue Type Hierarchy, and all seems to be in order.
Any help and feedback would be highly appreciated.
Thank you!
Hello @Ikem Abellon ,
Good day,
Please use Subtask feature to create child tickets for Story Issue type
Hhhmm is it possible to create Task as a child issue of Story?

On your Issue type hierarchy, you have Stories defined at the "all other standard issue types" (0 level) which would include Stories and Tasks. The children of that level are "All sub task issue types" (-1 level) which would be any Sub-task types.
So, no, it's not possible.

Hello @Ikem Abellon
Does your project include a Sub-task type of issue in its set of available issue types?
You must have a Sub-task type of issue available in your project in order to create a child issue under a Story type of issue.

Hi,
Yes, it does have the Sub-task issue type:
Please don't mind the Project Key, it is a test project in Sandbox.
Thanks

Is the Child issue option missing from the Story issue type for all users who look for it?
Have you tried a different browser app, clearing your browser cache, or a private browser window?
What options do you see when clicking on the +Add button in a Story issue type?
