Chrome extensions blocks the functionality of Jira

Denis Krupin February 9, 2022

When the extensions Metamask, TronLink, Ad Block, or one of them is enabled, some fields and sections of the project, such as the board, backlog, settings, are not displayed.

It is important for my team to use chrome extensions as they work.

How can I fix the problem?

Welcome to the Community!

You'll need to get the bugs in the extension fixed frankly, there's nothing Atlassian can do to stop the extensions stomping on their code.

Most of these type of extensions have whitelists or exception lists, so adding "don't run on *.atlassian.net" will fix the problem with the extension.  But you may want to investigate the more fine-grained options they have.

I solved the problem in the following way.
Maybe it will help someone.

To fix the conflict of extensions and jira:

  1. Go to your browser's extensions section;
  2. Go to Details;
  3. Under Site access select On click;
  4. In the field insert website addresses that you want to work with needed extensions.

That only works for the extension you have looked at, not necessarily all of them, as most have different routes to get to white-listing.
