Cloud Incoming Email Core/Software

Hi,

The default email handler for comments works as expected, but I can't get Jira Core/Software to accept incoming emails from a known user to create a new issue. 

I've tried with modifications to the existing, working Handler, created new handlers with myriad permutations, using plain text, etc etc.

What am I missing? Is it necessary to configure a separate Mail Server or can the Default Cloud server handle it?

Dear @Dave Varon,

cloud works as expected but for Jira server the mails are not converted to issues for users that can log into Jira, right?

Where do you pull the mails from? (IMAP/POP) Shared account with cloud?

Have you enabled debug logging for the Email servers, to see what happens?

Hi.  This is an issue with Jira Cloud.  My attempts thus far have been with the `Default Cloud Mail Server`, which again works like charms with comments but not at all with issue creation.

Is it required to add a new mail server to get this to work?

Which mails are currently processed successfully? Do they end with atlassian.net?

Both successfully handled emails (comments), and unsuccessful (creation) emails are sent to the same address, i.e., jira@example.atlassian.net

It's a head-scratcher.
