Convert URL to Inline link in a Jira automation

I have an automation that puts a URL in the Description field when the issue is created. Right now it is a long standard URL, but I would like for it to change to the Inline view. Is there something I can do with markdown to make that happen? 

Otherwise- I will just set the text to be something shorter.

I think the behavior you are describing has nothing to do with the “formatting” of the link, but with a personal preference of your profile settings: https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/link-preferences.
