Copying a board without stories being linked. Also, if I delete the copied board, will it also dele

I copied a dashboard from an existing board.  It copied over all the stories as well.  When I tried to delete a story off the copied board, it deleted it off the source board as well.  Can I delete the copied board without losing all the source stories? How can I copy a board without the stories?

Hi Kevin,

The stories are fetched based on the filter selected in the board configuration. When you copy the board, the filter remains attached to the new board as well. You need to change the filter in the board configuration to stop seeing the same stories.

Deleting the copied board won't impact the original board.

Hi Aditya,
I have copied the board (craeted by someone else) which has various gadgets (so that I could save time on creating new gadgets in this copied dashbaord). I got to see that all gadgets and filters retained.
I altered all the gadgets with new filters craeted in my JIRA filters list. But on doing this, I see that even original dahsboard has got changed as per new filters that I created.

How can I keep these 2 boards separate so that my new copy doesnot affects original one?
