Hello!
I'm trying to create an issue with automation and set a field "Hidden Field" that is not in any screen, as I want it to be hidden from the user. I get the following error:
The set fields may be unavailable for this project/type. Fields ignored:
Hidden Field
Can I do something like that or do I need a workaround?
Hi Gsfyris,
Create a Create Screen and Edit/View Screen (or even separate Edit and View screens). Put the hidden field on the Create screen but not the other two.
You can create the new screens by copying the existing ones and adding them to the Screen Scheme.

Hello!
It's a Software project.
The Issue is created by a web request and I want to set an ID to relate it to an external source. This ID must be set during the automated creation and must not be editable by the user.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Thank you for the additional information.
Is the project Team Managed or Company Managed?
You said the field should not be editable. Should the content be visible to the user?
Will the information in the field be used in any way during the life of the issue by process within Jira or by external integrations with Jira?
