Newbie. I have created a Custom Report Using "New vs Completed" but the resolved date is not the date I want to use as a measurement. I want to use the Date a device entered a Status as the resolved date. Just so you know the use case, my metric is time Order placed to time order shipped, but resolution is time order was received by the end customer and is self-reported by the customer then the ticket is closed as resolved. Is there a different report I should use?
Hi @Ken Wells
Since you want to measure the time from Order Placed to Order Shipped , Control Chart is likely the best option. Control chart tracks cycle time or lead time based on status changes. This will allow you to see exactly how long it took for an order to move from Order Placed to Order Shipped,

Hi @Ken Wells,
Take a look at the Cumulative Flow Diagram report. By using this report you should be able to see the number of issues (orders) in each status along the time, which I guess is what you actually want.

Hi @Ken Wells
Welcome to the community!
It sounds like you're dealing with a unique use case where the "resolved date" doesn't align with the status changes you're looking to measure. Fortunately, the Time Metrics Tracker | Time Between Statuses. add-on can help you customize metrics based on the specific transitions you're tracking.
For your scenario of measuring the time between "Order Placed" and "Order Shipped," you can create a custom time metric to calculate the duration between the statuses "Placed" and "Shipped." Here’s how you can do it:
Set Up a Custom Report:
Add to Your Dashboard:
Once the report is set up, you can add it directly to your Jira Dashboard using the Time Metrics Dashboard gadget. This way, you can monitor the metrics at a glance and even share them with your team.
Visualize the Data:
Use our export feature to visualize this data further in tools like Excel or Google Sheets for more complex analytics or custom charting.

I hope you find this helpful 🚀
