Hello!
I am looking for some recommendations to create two DIFFERENT workflows for DIFFERENT issues within the SAME project.
We have a project with 5 Initiatives, and 2-5 Epics under each initiative. We would like to have these two issue types go through one workflow based on classic project management project phases (research, plan, execute, monitor, done). We've already created this workflow and the scheme to the project.
We have also have 2 more issue types at the child level (under Epics) - Tasks and Subtasks. We would prefer that these go through the standard workflow ("to do", "In progress" and "done") rather than the project management phases.
Is it possible use both of these workflows within one project? If so, how will they appear on the kanban board?
Thanks!
Hi @Andrea Billings , welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Sure, it’s possible.
The process varies slightly depending on the project type: team-managed or company-managed.
You can see this process in action here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Re-Need-to-assign-different-workflow-for-1-issue-type-in/qaq-p/1918949/comment-id/780127#M780127

@Lucas Modzelewski _Lumo_ - I have a follow up question I'm hoping you can answer
I have created my two workflows to my workflow scheme and associated it with the desired issue types and the desired project.
Workflow 1: Backlog --> Research Phase --> Planning Phase --> Execution Phase --> Monitor
Workflow 2: Backlog--> To Do --> In Progress --> Done
Everything is working well; however, I'm wondering if there is a way to customize the project "Summary" page. Currently the status overview section shows the two workflows combined. Is there a way to separate this and see two "snapshots"?
