Crowd + 4 domains = confusion...guidance appreciated.

Plexus ALM Support November 12, 2012

Greetings,

I would appreciate some feedback on what I'm trying to accomplish with Crowd.

Current State:

Server 1 = JIRA, Greenhopper
Server 2 = FIsheye/Crucible, Bamboo
Server 3 = Jama Contour

Domain 1 = na.domain.com
Domain 2 = eu.domain.com
Domain 3 = ap.domain.com
Domain 4 = ext.domain.com

LDAP user accounts have been created in JIRA, Bamboo and Contour. Fisheye/Crucible references JIRA for user accounts.

Ideal Future State:

  • Crowd knows about all users in all four domains. No need to create users directly in JIRA, etc. New users in AD do not need to be manually added to Crowd.
  • Users in each domain can be added to an AD security group and receive different levels of access to the Atlassian (and JAMA) tools by way of Crowd.

Thanks,
Alex
