Hi all,
I ran into an interesting request, and am hoping for some guidance....
Is there a way to customize the view for each transition? i.e. can the screen edit view be adjusted so that only certain fields get displayed within , for example, "To Do". When the issue transitions to "Staffed", the fields needed for staffing gets displayed. Again, when we transition to "Knowledge Transfer", the "Knowledge Transfer" fields get displayed.
Ideally, as the ticket progresses through the flow, more fields gets added, and stay added, if the ticket have transitioned through that particular stage.

Appreciate the assist.. :)
Hello @Rudolph Dreyer
There is not native functionality in Jira that is capable of doing that.
You might be able to do something like that with the ScriptRunner Behaviours app from Adaptavist. That app is free, but it does require that you also have the not-free main ScriptRunner app.
Hi Trudy,
Thank you for this. I really appreciate it.

I would like to add that you can do this for transitions, just not view, create or edit.
You can present different screens for people to update fields during different transitions.

Hi Nic,
If you don't mind me asking, how would I go about achieving this?
Do you mean to make certain fields compulsory to transition into a certain status?
And
My current workflow is set up so that all Issues can transition to all statuses.
Will this be a problem?
